ABOUT US

The ILG Foundation was formed in 2022 and is a subsidiary of The Independent Liquor Group, Australia’s largest liquor co-operative.

The co-operative has been involved in several charities since its inception in 1975 and has been running its own fundraiser as part of its annual study tour program. It has been an integral part of the whole study tour experience, extending members the opportunity to participate in fostering one of the co-operative values, i.e. concern for community. Proceeds from these annual auctions have helped various charities, both local and overseas.

Years of successful and various event auctions through the keen participation of our generous members and supplier-sponsors have inspired us to validate the appeal and extend the opportunity for non-members to give back to the community.

Our goal is to be instrumental in spreading wellbeing to the less fortunate members of our communities and make this world a better place for all.

MISSION STATEMENT

Our mission is simple… ‘TO GIVE BACK”

Independent Liquor Group (ILG) was established in 1975 by a group of family-run small businesses and now has become Australia’s largest Liquor Co-operative. Our community is at the centre of our corporate being. Our success is due to the continuing support of our loyal members including our supplier members. For this reason, we are passionate to do more for the community and thus we started the Foundation in 2022.

As we reflect on the journey of the ILG fundraiser activities, we are humbled and grateful for the tremendous support and overwhelming response we have received over the years. What began with modest contributions between $6K-$10K during its early years has evolved into a powerful force for good, impacting lives and communities in profound ways.
Since 2000, we have witnessed a remarkable growth both in proceeds raised, auction items donated as well as the charities benefiting from our support.

These numbers represent more than just financial contributions they symbolise the collective impact of the ILG Family coming together in making a difference. As we look ahead to the future we are filled with optimism and determination to continue this journey. With a stronger validation through the ILG Foundation, we aim to achieve even greater heights and create lasting change in the lives of those in need.
